The Friends of Everglades Museum was born out of the vision and passion of a group of people committed to protecting the Everglades and its rich cultural heritage. Aware of the importance of educating present and future generations about the importance of preserving this natural treasure, they decided to join forces and establish an organization dedicated to supporting the Everglades Museum. The primary goal of the Friends of Everglades Museum is to provide financial resources for the maintenance and growth of the museum. Its members work closely with the museum's board of directors to identify and fund improvement projects, educational exhibits, and interactive programs. In addition to fundraising, the organization focuses on encouraging the interest and participation of the local community and visitors in the museum's activities.
